Because these causes are different, there is no single treatment that is appropriate for every type of pore concern.

Potenza, Juvelook, Aqua Peel, and skin boosters are all used in Korean aesthetic clinics, but they work in different ways. Potenza is a radiofrequency microneedling treatment. Fine needles enter the skin and deliver radiofrequency energy into selected layers of the dermis.

The controlled thermal injury created by RF microneedling is intended to stimulate dermal remodeling and collagen production.

Clinical studies of fractional microneedle radiofrequency have reported improvements in large facial pores and atrophic acne scars, although the degree of improvement varies by scar type, treatment settings, and individual skin condition.

Potenza may be considered when enlarged pores are associated with:

* Uneven skin texture

* Atrophic acne scars

* Reduced dermal support

* Loss of skin elasticity

* Rough skin surface

Because Potenza works below the skin surface, it is different from a cleansing facial such as Aqua Peel.

Some Potenza tips can also create microchannels that allow selected topical or injectable materials to be delivered across the treated area. However, the product used, treatment depth, and combination plan should be selected according to the skin condition rather than routinely combining the same treatments for every patient.

Q3. What Is Juvelook, and How Is It Used for Pores?

Juvelook is a collagen-stimulating injectable that combines PDLLA, or poly-D,L-lactic acid, with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid.

For pore and skin-texture concerns, **Juvelook Skin** is generally the more relevant formulation.

It may be considered for:

* Enlarged pores

* Uneven skin texture

* Fine lines

* Superficial atrophic acne scars

* Reduced skin elasticity

Juvelook does not mechanically clean the pores. Instead, its role is to support gradual collagen remodeling within the skin.

This is why Juvelook Skin may be discussed together with Potenza in patients who have both visible pores and acne-related texture irregularities.

The two treatments do not perform the same function: Potenza creates controlled RF microneedling injury, while Juvelook is an injectable collagen stimulator.

Q4. What Does Aqua Peel Do for Enlarged Pores?

Aqua Peel is very different from Potenza or Juvelook.

It is a non-invasive facial treatment that combines liquid-based exfoliation and suction to remove surface debris, dead skin cells, excess sebum, and impurities from the pores. It is commonly used in Korea for oily or congested skin, blackheads, and rough surface texture.

Aqua Peel may be considered when pores look more noticeable because of:

* Excess sebum

* Blackheads

* Sebaceous buildup

* Dead skin cells

* Surface congestion

Patients often notice that the skin feels cleaner and smoother after treatment because debris and oil have been removed from the skin surface.

However, Aqua Peel does not rebuild deep dermal collagen or treat depressed acne scars in the same way as RF microneedling.

It is therefore better understood as a **pore-cleansing and surface-smoothing treatment** rather than a treatment that permanently reduces pore size.

Q5. Which Pore Treatment May Be Right for You?

The appropriate treatment depends on why the pores appear enlarged.

If excess oil and clogged pores are the main concern

Aqua Peel may be considered first.

It focuses on removing sebum, blackheads, dead skin cells, and surface buildup with relatively little downtime.

If pores are accompanied by rough texture or acne scars

Potenza may be more appropriate because RF microneedling targets the dermis and promotes tissue remodeling.

Research on fractional microneedle radiofrequency has shown improvement in both enlarged pores and atrophic acne scars.

If collagen loss and skin quality are also concerns

Juvelook Skin may be considered to support gradual collagen remodeling and improvement in skin texture.

Depending on the skin condition, Potenza and Juvelook may also be discussed as part of a combination treatment plan.

If overall skin condition also needs improvement

Other skin boosters, such as Rejuran or Re2O, may be considered when pore concerns are accompanied by fine lines, reduced elasticity, thin skin, or an overall decline in skin quality.

These treatments do not directly remove sebum from pores and should not be considered substitutes for a cleansing treatment when congestion is the main concern.

Can Different Pore Treatments Be Combined?

Yes, different treatments may be combined or performed in stages because they address different aspects of the skin.

For example:

* Aqua Peel + Potenza: surface cleansing followed by treatment for deeper skin texture

* Potenza + Juvelook Skin: RF microneedling combined with a collagen-stimulating treatment for pores and acne-related texture

* Skin booster + pore treatment: considered when overall skin quality, elasticity, or fine lines are also concerns

However, combining more treatments does not automatically lead to better results.

Treatment timing, skin sensitivity, active acne, previous procedures, and recovery time should all be considered before planning combination therapy.
